They use the older single cell technology as used in the very first Deben lithium batteries... The new ones are a one piece lithium battery unit.

This is the post you should all read.

Check which technology type you're spending your money on, those early Deben packs, and it seems most of the others use packs of small cells joined to get the voltage / capacity, with packs of cells, unless they are all matched (and it's unlikely that they'd bother just to "run a torch") then there will be vaiations between each cell, which will give potentially poor performance and life, if 1 cell breaks down then the pack is US.

These battery packs are definitely a case of buy cheap pay twice.

For info, the wild hunters use a standard size case for all sizes, which means if you buy a 10ah or 15ah your getting a case that's the same dimensions as a 22ah battery so added bulk for no need. The Deben ones in comparison are all individual sizes to suit and as stated use a prismatic cell the same smaller new technology like, iphones, etc use which are more stable. As well as the wildhunters looking like there direct from alibaba like them a1decoy lamps, the build quality looks very poor.
