Seeing that your a newcomer to mole trapping,it would not be bad practise at all, for you to reset the trap in the same place. Quote Link to post

pappabear 128
hi dave its a claw trap bought from local garden centre they were £4 each , didn't expect to catch him that quickly , no new mounds overnight so hopefully he was on his own . Quote Link to post
davedavedave 69
No more activity sounds like you hae done the business Quote Link to post
pappabear 128
still no more new molehills so tacking the traps up tomorrow Quote Link to post
davedavedave 69
Good idea and maybe the chance to move on and do some traps for friends or relations who have mole problems as the more you do the better you get at it. Also if you want to get in with local farmers for shooting permission offer to trap a field or 2. Quote Link to post
earth-thrower 493
I wasnt aware the country was suffering from a lack of mole catchers,nowadays...... Quote Link to post
davedavedave 69
Well the facts would indicate that there is indeed a lack of mole catchers:- http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/environment/7824780/Mole-population-soars-due-to-poison-ban.html http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/10315612 http://herefordshire.greatbritishlife.co.uk/article/boom-in-mole-population-14113/ http://www.thisislincolnshire.co.uk/Growing-mole-population-causing-damage/story-13490636-detail/story.html Quote Link to post
Le Braconnier 49
That shows that there has been an increase in the mole population. It doesn't evidence a shortage of mole catchers. If there was a shortage of trappers some of the guys on here would be pulled out with work and from recent threads it would seem not to be the case. Quote Link to post
3175darren 1,100
People don't want to pay trappers at the moment,I have never seen as much damage done by moles the water table is high and the moles have come up with it, Quote Link to post
davedavedave 69
"pulled out with work" - not sure what you mean? Quote Link to post
