Blair passing laws giving his Wife's Law firm the right to Millions through defending illegal immigrants , as for Police corruption where do I start . . These are the Tip Off An Ice Berg That Would Sink America , where being Held Responsible for Bank Corruption , Imigrants bringing this country to its Knees . . . . Why do so many people in full time employment need benifits to survive

Because the cost of living is too high and the wages are too low..

that itself tells you something, most of the jobs now are part time so benifits make it up to a living wage, How will this get us out of the mess were in. yes the unemployment figures will be down but nothing has changed

Exactly, it's just cooking the books. The government should be concentrating on job creation. The jobs lost during the deindustrialisation under the Thatcher government have never been replaced, and the subsequent growth of the financial sector that followed meant we could afford not to replace them and a benefit culture has sprung up. Most of the non working benefit claimants who have never worked are the children and grandchildren of those who would have once worked in industrial type jobs.. Add to this the competition for jobs from cheap foreign labour and you have the huge clusterfuck that we currently have..

 

Now the financial sector has gone to shit, we are f****d because we can no longer afford to subsidise those who are not in work.. It's all very well pointing the finger at those who know no other life other than the non working, benefit claiming one, but fingers should be pointed at the successive governments who allowed this to happen in the first place. You are not fighting a few lazy, work shy b*****ds in trying to get folk off the welfare system, you are fighting a whole culture.. If this was a failing football team we were talking about, we would be blaming the manager for failing to get the most out of the players he had under him.. If it was a company, we'd be blaming the managers and directors at the top..

 

There's a saying, 'a bad tradesman always blames his tools', and what are the people if not the money making tools of the government? Some are old and past it, some downright useless, but most could be sharpened up again and put to use with the right knowledge and application..

Thats why they're chucking huge emphasis on the out of work - give the masses a minority to pick on and it keeps their anger focused away from where it should be.. If they were creating jobs and still people wouldn't work, then they might have a point.. I can't see any other logic in their current arguments, if the work was there then fair enough..

like you say graham,if they cant keep themselfs and there kids warm,or put food in there belly.they will just take it.if im honest i dont blame them.if i was ever at the stage where i hadnt eaten for days.id go into the nearest supermarket and help myself.more so if i had starving kids.it never used to bother me,when you saw big state banquets on tv.or the politicians getting wined and dined.but its diffrent these days,and its basically rubbing folks faces in it when they see all that on tv,while toiling to heat there homes.i feel for the old people.they must sit there at times in bewilderment at how this world turned out,bet for some death cant come quick enough

another thing is, people say it pays to have lots of kids on benifits, well the truth be told a couple on benifits with say 3 kids get the same amount in child benifits as a couple who are both working, each couple would get family allowance and child tax credits so theres another myth exposed, the fact is plain and simple the state wants you to be dependant on them wether working, unemployed or retired
