quakshot 1
Never owned a Remington so can't really say, but I do own a hatsan escort magnum, I bought it second hand to do a couple weeks worth of goose shooting, a year and a half on I still own it and love it, it gets used for duck geese and pigeon. A lot of people knock them and fair enough if they've had bad experiences but the majority of people that call them have never touched one if there honest. 1 Quote Link to post

Papa g 14
I 've had an escort 3shot semi for 3 yrs now it has had a caning clay shooting, rabbiting , pigeon shooting,I've found that if you keep it clean it'll give good service I believe the later ones are a bit more refined,on the whole you get a lot of gun for your money, can't comment on the remi though as I've never used one. salop sniper 32
Of those two the remmi every time ! Duncan laughton won a big title shooting one about 10 years or so ago ! Great bit of kit. I personally go Benelli though as i prefer inertia systems over gas as they are more simple and esy to clean, also dead reliable ! ATB Matt Quote Link to post

cyclonebri1 8
Let's turn this round, from what you say, a pump action would be a viable alternative, shoots just as effictively, still only 1 barrel to clean and none of the crap and in depth cleaning required for the gas operated semi's. You will have to learn the cycle the thing after the 1st shot rather than keep pressing the dam trigger expecting a 2nd shop The winchester SXP, made in Turkey but not by hatstand, is the obvious choice, read the reviews, not a bad word spoken. Mine was a recent buy, £250 in mint nick. Quote Link to post
