I took the kids to Donna Nook on the east coast where there is a colony of grey seals that camp out on the beach to have their pups, theres about 1100 of the fat barstewards just flopping about

nice pics lapin..

i live just up the coast from donna nook..

that area used to be heaving with bunnies thirty years ago,, them seals have increased alot over the years,,bout a thousand pups this season up till now..

I didnt see any rabbits when I was there but the place was heaving with people, I caught a smell of fox a couple of times coming from the dunes as well so may be some sets hidden there, certainly be easy pickings for them with all the dead pups and after births etc.

in them days lapin there was only a few greys about.. and you could walk there from my place and hardly see a soul..bit differant from nowadays,,i used to couple up the terriers and have some fun down there.. lost a terrier there once, but picked it up next day from a police station ten mile away..lol.......

Beautiful animals... I wouldnt like to get too close to one though

At least you would have a decent chance to out run them, on land they dont come across as the most fleet of foot creatures!

Ive strokes crocs and a lioness out in africa when i was a kid but i still wont get too close to a seal... Heard a few horror storys over the years so wouldnt underestimate them

Some of them had some fair old nashers on them,

Has the colony spiralled then in numbers, do you know what the cause is of this?
