worldruler 58
I took the dog out on to the moor yesterday for a walk, it was pretty frosty and while the ground wasnt frozen it wasnt as soft as it usually is.He covers alot of ground and I noticed on the way back that his paws were looking a bit raw, now today he is very stiff and kinda sore. Just as a heads up he is not a lurcher, he is a staffy cross, he aint a hunting dog so dosent do this all the time but he does run beside me while I cycle on a dirt bike for a couple miles every second or third day weather depending. Any tips on how to prevent this(other than dont take him out when its frosty) and maybe treat it when it does happen! cheers jon Quote Link to post

worldruler 58
really is that to harden them up over a long period of time? Quote Link to post
tsteve9999 456
There's a world of difference between a couple of miles behind a bike and a few hours running up and down hills mate, Sounds to me like he was just being a staffy and didn't know when to stop. My old staff would run all day long then feel like a cripple next morning, but still be willing to go again if I let him. Quote Link to post
worldruler 58
yeah he dosent know when to stop you are right, maybe it looked worse because he has white legs, he is stiff today unfortunately though Quote Link to post
