Went ferretin today on a massive warren down a hedge row about 200 yards the hedge row runs down th side of a fishing lake and the rabbit had dug holes in the bank but there was to much cover to do anything with them holes though but we did get long nets put around the henge row surrounding some good holes, we put two hobs and a jill to work , they where just running everywhere it was like a bloody maze anyway we started packing up and picked a hob and a gill out there was now sign of the other hob couldn`t find it on the finder ther`s so much cover and other warrens he could be anywhere been looking alday but no luck im one ferret down and it`s got a £45 collar on

its worth going back to see if its made its way out & been wandering, might even pick it up on the box if its in the undergrowth, i would go back at first light

Been back no sign of him i`ve left his box down there with a fresh bunny i`ll have a look in the mornin all the fishermen know me and know i`ve lost him, with a bit of luck he`ll show, cheers folks

Good luck with the squiggle catching Will do your local songbirds a favour too As for feeding them to the stinkers thell love them and take them out your hands before you have time to put them in Watch out for the nasty fleas on them tho

If you are concerned about fleas try freezing the carcass for a few days first. Should sort that out

why where you ferreting at this time of year, its the middle of summer ,

Pest control my friend they are a serious problem here the warrens are collapsing the sides of his fishing lakes if i don`t ferret them the land owner will gas them, i need the ferret food and he needs the rabbits gone everyones a winner, except when i lose my ferrets
