ferreting this morning

Went out this morning for an hour with the wife and daughter to some permission I've had for years. Farmer told me there are feck all bunnies around so went ahead anyway. First warren was a 4holes under a tree so netted up and took out one of my gills from this year. It's her first time and she went straight in and out through the other side tried to put her in another hole but no. Took out her sister send straight in then out another hole but then turned and straight back down for a couple of mins and then bang first r rabbit straight into the net. Felt that buzz as I made the nets myself and the ferret right behind the rabbit. Wife and 3year old had wandered off so missed it. Did two other small warrens but nothing home except for a rat in one. Called it a day then as the women were getting restless so I'll be back on my own in a couple of days and there's plenty more to do. Its about time I found the bunnies as I've walked miles in the last couple of weeks trying new places but some places are too much on my own. Happy hunting

Can't beat it great fun and numbers don't matter but of course it is nice too get one or two too keep you encouraged. Good luck when you go back

Should be handy enough as I know the place like the back of my hand and the added bonus is some of the old wire fencing has been taken away in places
