swanseajack 227
How often, do you work that dog Mat, nice to see him doing the job but I have slight reservations about the condition on him and his coat... Regular work, on top or in the ground would keep that coat in a better state, judging by the length of fur around his feet it looks like you've kept him locked up for a while then dropped him in on a fox.. I might be wrong, please explain.... on a brighter note, well done David and Spike, good to see him at it... and the black and tan dog is litter brother to yours Nitevision Quote Link to post

timmy k 590
i was out walking my dogs last sunday a couple of hours before dinner, i had with me my bullcross my deerhound x pup and my beddy whos just gone 12 months and is used mostly for bushing and ratting but has had very few kills but plenty of bolts, any way i see a big kick out and go over to investigate no smell to the hole so i go to walk away but the bedy had other ideas and shot up the hole, now i only went out for a quick walk so was ill prepared, no spade, no locator, no phone and a dog in a bank that i used to ferret and know it to have some deep holes and all the while the beddy didnt make a sound, the bull x starts marking the hole after about 20minutes and gets greeted by a very angry terrier for disturbing his set, so i pick him up but hes going made to get back down so i let him down and he vanishes again, no more noise and then i here 1 little bark and a growl and silence again, whats going on down their? about an hour from when he first entered he came out again and was sort of going in and out as if confused so i picked him up and we all walk away, as i walking for no reason at all i looked behind me to see a fox slinking away out of the hole, you b*****d i thought ,.the bull x had run on messing about with the pup so it was long . after that i inspected the terrier and found a little nick on his lip, now i know this isnt an ideal start but it is a start and i think half the problem was his lack of kowledge of earth work and foxes Quote Link to post
