matulkoh 66 Posted April 19, 2006 Report Share Posted April 19, 2006 going to work the little one to ground when he,s ready any body know of some good books on working bedds. or vids. im in the NW never saw one, ask swanseajack, he work his beddies i just got one so he s more competent to advise, just give him lot of opportunities to kill rats, going through pipes, safe under ground, then let him kill some rats in under ground, then small cats or big one but tape their claws, and let him do it under ground just to get confidence, then go out wih some lads and let him see dogs working and gettig the smell of fox in nose, when to start work him undergreound is hard to say i started after he was 12month- i mean work him on fox- just be sure his teeth and jaws are in full strengh, y ll know it when he ll be ready, do not forget better later lthan sooner, dog have to be really confident Quote Link to post
