Dan the beddie  i have at the moment 1 year old 15 1/2 Inch and spannable from rambo and gutchcommon lines.

How's Dan doing Dave.... ?

Any more pics of him....

He's doing rat squirrel etc but not had him to red yet as i have not been able to get out much since i got him due to business and illness, Plus there are not many fox in this area except the one that lives across the road in a neighbours garden which as nearly cost me my front room windows on a couple of occasions walking right past on the bloody street in the early afternoon and letting my lurcher meg see it. Dan as stayed small still spannable hes a bit nervous around strangers but a little t--t with other dogs i am hoping he doesnt take the same road as one of my past bitches Jade who eventualy took a liking to killing other dogs. I will post a picture of him and his litter mates my sons Jess and my daughters kie when i get one.

jess is doing well and is showing a keen interest in red ones she as stayed small like dan although she piles on the pounds if given the chance. My daughters Kie as grown to about 19 inch and is more deep chested than the other two so she is only used on rabbit.

Jack,

would like very much to talk to you about these terriers..I tried to PM you some questions but for some reason it will not allow me to use the PM feature...would it be possible to meet you in the chat room of this board to discuse them?

An old boy at one of the places I work has a non kc bed bitch 15" 2 year old, he wants to put my black dog across her , what do you beddy lads think ?

Alright Mate!

As long as the bitch is Working and he's looking to breed workers, I can't see a problem. 1st crosses Hybrid vigour = workers...

It's where he goes after this and why he's doing it would be the question.

There are some good Bedlington dogs out there, that are working, perhaps he could look deeper into that line of breeding.

We bred a rough coated black fell back to a bedlington and they turned out excellent workers, one of the bitches produced has recently been bred to a bedlington and thrown some typey pups, also some of the pups aren't so typey... time will tell whether they'll be any good.

Good luck to him whichever route he takes... Keep us informed..

hi b.c ..what does this chap think he is gaining by this mating..if he is not happy with his present dog why dont he get something that suits him...my oppion is that he is not doing either breed any favours...you might dissagree...what does he hope to gain...s.j set out on a breeding programe years ago and it was a success but it can take many matings and years of dedication to reach your goal ...the next time he asks you politley say no thanks...i think you will be doing us all a favour :good:
