porkycrook 466
My biggest regret is never signing up even though i went through 4 years as an army cadet i started to get a feel for it. But having lost my father when i was 12, that left mum, four sisters and me the only man. So as i was having to do all the manly things about the house and garden, i couldn't do that to mum. But if they were ever in need for a 54 year old overweight knackered man, i would sign up at the drop of my walking stick. I believe that everybody could and should do something to help them. God bless everyone of them male, female, army, navy or Raf. 3 Quote Link to post

B.P.R 2,798
Christmas is a testing time to be away. Its not the soldiers who feel it most its the wives and kids back at home that are missing their dads when they wake up to a room full of presents and nobody to open them with. Keep up the support lads. 1 Quote Link to post

Marksman 934
Well said villaman! I'd still go back, join up and go through whatever comes, if I was a young man again. I served with some of the best Regt. Gunners and Officers in the RAF and some of the finest lads from the Army and the Royal Marines. Some we lost to enemy action but, that's what happens when you 'go on one'. It was a privilidge to experience soldiering with such men. I'll never forget them as long as I'll live. Never! Pianoman. Ditto mate! If any other think they can do better grow some kahunas and sign on the dotted line Darryl 1 Quote Link to post
