ferret100 47
Poor Smiggles. How old? How long living with your other ferts? Have any other ferts had a soggy bum/gentials? If you put some absorbent bedding down in the toilet area it may help ascertain whether Smiggles is dragging his bum in urine, otherwise have a sniff!! Does he appear to have any difficulty extracting/retracting his penis? Certainly the prolapse needs attention as does his respiratory issue, the wetness issue may be related. ATB. Quote Link to post

dave1600d 35
if i took him to the vet and he cost me loads,,hes worth it mate as are all of my stinkers,,,,i dont work them so im not gaining rabbits etc,,,i get a lot of satisfaction just knowing im giving these creatures the best life i can while theyre alive,,they dont live long,,so i think i owe it to em to give em the best i can ,,,,,,,,i would only ever have one put to sleep if i was in the interest of the animal that it was best to be put down,,and i wouldnt even consider hitting it on the head to kill it or snap its neck,,,,some on here would dissagree with my views,,but everyones entitled to their own opinion..ATB,,,DAVE Quote Link to post
heritage 202
Being a ferret owner isn't easy......sometimes there is simply no choice when it comes to having a ferret pts...other times the outcome is much better for all concerned.....what is really important is that you do the best you can & in this instance you have.......well done mate Quote Link to post
