To openly condemn certain actions by a small minorty without so much as a thought to the law abiding majority reeks of ineptitude of the highest order. In that single publication they have damaged legitimate lurcher folk more than any so called anti group could ever wish to do. I wonder if an apology will be forth coming in the next edition or if any of the writers openly denounce the abhorrent behaviour of the paper...Time will tell i suppose...atb stabba

just becuse they do dont mean we have to. i coudnt careless if i am called a criminal for going out and catching a few bunnys call me what you want it wont stop me. but i would never dream of calling someone in the same sport as me a criminal if they were poaching after a few bunnys. while we argue amonst ourselfs the antis are out there trying to get a complete ban, yet we are happy argueing amongst ourselfs maybe when we pull together like we should we might get somewere

Blimey its not that difficult is it if you like it you buy it if you dont you dont.....................what publication on any subject is going to be agreeable to everyone who reads it like anything your not going to agree with every word on country sports just because its a countrymans magazine same as you wont agree with everything on football in a football magazine you just take from it what you like and forget the rest....f**k me what do you want for a couple of quid

yep i get what people are saying, but it'l come to the point where we can't walk down street with running dogs because of them, printing shit and joe blogs will see that and think everyone is poaching , that poacher watch had a lurcher running hare, see what i mean.. ! but it's funny because i know of load who poach other ways, but then that makes alot of money for the country,

you's might be thinking i'm a poaching c**t, but i've plenty of land to run/ shoot and so on, but i'd be a dam right liar to say i've never hopped fence! or my dogs never carried on over where i don't have permission!

and as to what i do on that land is up to the land owner, buy CMW wants people to grass me/us up,

so lets say i'm walking land bushing for rabbits , both lurcher are off slip as is the norm, the spring pushes a hare out and someone sees, phones old bill, the hunting act says accidents are excepted but, only bill wont see it that way, we all no you can shout and scream till your blue in face and that dog wont give up the run, then my dogs are off getting slotted , and who's fault will it be???

Gnasher it's not about a slight difference of opinions, it's this that I'm talking about.

If the biggest thing a poacher has to worry about is being labelled a violent criminal in a gossip column........life cant be too bad........and if he,s not already looking over his shoulder then be it on his head................

Ultimately a man only has himself to answer to..............as im sure your aware.

ive poached in some heavily keepered estates in my youth, and i can say i have never resorted to any violent act,as im sure the vast majority on here aswell.and if im being honest the violent acts that i did witness were perpetrated by over zealous keepers or farm hands.granted we had no business being there in the first place lol

it does seem incredulous that a countrysports publication that has an active lurcher section and a good head of customers who purchase it on a regular basis to read whats written in that section would choose to publish something like that :icon_eek:
