He tried that with St. James' at Newcastle, but had to back down. Will he get away with it at Rangers ?? Cheers.

He doesn't have to own Rangers to change the grounds name; he can just buy the naming rights; http://www.morningstaronline.co.uk/news/content/view/full/126684 Cheers. chartpolski 24,219
Thing is, Newcastle are one of the few clubs that are debt free, (ironicaly due to Ashley !!), but Rangers are massively in debt, so money may over rule sense ! Cheers.

He's still hated, mate ! He got a wee bit slack cut after last season, but failing to buy anyone in the summer, most fans knew this season would be hard, and oh how they were right !! He is a hard nosed business man who only looks at the profit line. general opinion is he will sell Newcastle as a profit making, mid table team. He better get the cheque book out in january, as we are almost in a relegation battle now !! Another loss on monday, to Wigan, and the fans and the press will REALY turn on him !! BTW, how did you enjoy your day up here, where did you have a drink ? Cheers.
