Safe to say lads I got nout, so going back up on Sunday morning before first light to try again. And yes, i was asked to do that field as its beenn getting hit badly.

Maybe you could ask him about roost shooting - then you could set up in the morning and be sen to be trying then up sticks at 2 o clock and go and roost shoot?

Pigeons are mainly feeding on berrys in the wooods when its ice cold and not so interested in crops

Had a canny day on Sunday, got some pigeon, some woodcock and a sh*t load of crows. Not on the decoys through the day, but early morning and last light. Brilliant fun

reconisance is the answer. get yourself a pair of binoculars. watch over the fields and find where the pigeons are feeding. set up accordingly and you will bag a few birds.
