tegater 789
What Hardy fly rod is it pal? Quote Link to post
lifelong cumbrian 1,826
Best way to put a value on anything is to go on ebay, in search box put the item you have (say hardy delux 9ft) and then when the page comes up with them on go to the left hand side of the screen to a list of options and press completed listings. When on that any on the said items that have been on for sale in the last couple of weeks will be on. If the item has red writing on the price it has not sold, if it is green writing it has sold for that price. This is how i price everything as something is only worth what people are paying. Hope this helps. 1 Quote Link to post

redcur 54
9' richard walker fly rod 12' matchmaker and a cane rod elasticane = needs an eye replaceing Quote Link to post
alimac 882
Richard walker is part of "bruce&walker" I think, and as far as I know he didn't design any rods for hardy Quote Link to post
saharashadow 26
Hardy did make a 9' 3" fly rod called the Richard Walker Superlite. It was one of the best selling rods in the 1950's, and was endorsed by Richard Walker , the famous angler and author. Bruce and Walker were formerly known as B James and Son, and changed name in 1959, and are still making rods today. I paid £25 for my fly rod 2 years ago, but have seen them for up to a £100.00. I also have a 13ft Hardy Matchmaker that I paid £102.00 for in 1981, but I have no idea what it's worth today. Generally Hardy rods are considered desirable, so do command good money. 3 Quote Link to post
