I've copied this off a local site regarding the dog thieves in the green Subaru Forester around the Co Durham area:

Mostly Bishop Auckland area but have done aycliffe and shildon so working across. Bout 50 dogs in last couple of weeks and mostly working dogs but they took a litter of Shih tzu from a house while woman was upstairs. R993 is beginning of Reg and they been disturbed a around ten times and they speed off. One blokes dog got took then a note through door asking for £2000 for its return. Driver is big black haired fella with pony tail and other 3 in car a just scrotes. Professional dog thieves and know exactly what they are doing
