P5HEN 168
the dog was protecting its master, obviously the cops were feared, stood off, the dog sensed this, as they can simple and attacked, wasnt a vicous dog because if it was it would of bitten somebody else in the crowd, cops were acting like it was some crazed gunman stood off lol, trigger happy yank cops with guns, simple thing would ov been to get his baton out if the dog was gunna bite it would ov bit the truncheon, and then it still took them ages to attend the whole cause of the situation ie the guy on the floor....................... ah well

RossM 8,119
Let's be honest if the dog wanted to do someone a serious injury I'm sure it would've locked onto that first person and just simply not let go, the fact the cop stood like a lemon and that they got him the f**k out of there rapid says to me they/he knew he had done wrong and over reacted. I'm sure if he had let it pan out the dog would've just been trying to pu a big space between them and the jakey on the ground.

fitchet 788
The cop did what he thought was right. They shouldn't have left the poor fecker screaming though. Apparently the dog had bitten someone else a few months back. Sounds like the owner is a wanker aswell.

Bosun11 537
I don't think anyone else said it but for me that made 'uncomfortable' viewing, I don't know the circumstances but my first gut reaction was that the dog was simply being protective BUT as has been said, we really don't know. I'd also agree with the others in that it was a totally reckless shot, there were kids there, that bullet could have gone anywhere. What pisses me right off, looking at that is that 'if' those cops were trying to help the person with the apparent seizure, why the feck didn't one get over to him and if they weren't then why the feck didn't someone finish the dog off or get it out of the way. the two helmets stood like lemons trying to look all Dirty Harry..! Oh, one last thing, that dog made a full recovery... In the words of Jim Royal... My arse..!! Just what has been put out to calm an enraged public...
