DIDO.1 22,762
No, dont use a muzzle, if it meets a rat it will stand no chance and if you lose it it will starve to death. 1 Quote Link to post

rob190364 2,594
my guess is you're being too noisy so the rabbits aren't bolting....fair enough they do kill underground but it shouldn't happen that often if you're quiet enough, more often than not they should bolt before he has chance. Set up quietly and then give it five minutes or so before you enter the ferrets. I can't believe someone would even contemplate using a muzzle to be honest! 1 Quote Link to post
Rake aboot 4,935
Nope NEVER use a muzzle In fact anyone who does, really requires a rat inserted up there anus,, imo ! 2 Quote Link to post

Country Joe 1,411
i just work Jills, although they can kill underground i have always found Rabbits seem to bolt better, than a big Hob. I dont know how quiet you are when you are out, but any noise as you know stops bolting. And dont even contemplate on putting a Muzzle on a Ferret. The one 8,477
As above my guess was that your too noisy on top or the rabbits would be bolting instead of muzzling the ferret learn a bit of field craft Quote Link to post
max abell 196
A muzzel on a ferret is a big NO NO as far as i am concerned for loads of reasons Quote Link to post
Country Joe 1,411
They need to be able to bite, to get the stubborn rabbits moving. Quote Link to post

Country Joe 1,411
If you have a Jill, or can get a loan of one, then take it out on its own, and see if this makes any difference, if not, you need to try something else. Quote Link to post
