Country Joe 1,411
Hi Peeps, After my recent experience of nearly losing a good wee worker. I have been thinking of acquiring a cage, was going to do this years ago but never got round to it. looking for a cage not too heavy, does not need to be large, I only work Jills, do you know any company I can contact. or if anyone has a spare i could purchase of them CJ. heritage 202
You can use a normal live catch trap but I always felt they offered little or no protection from the elements & if used during the winter it could have serious consequences..., of course you could cover or wrap the trap to try & ensure the ferret is kept snug but I saw a home made "ferret trapping box" on a DVD featuring mick Mansbridge.I made myself a couple " just in case " and feel these are a much better alternative.....there are plenty of good ferret box makers on here & I'm sure they would be happy to produce one for you, atb Quote Link to post
gnipper 6,531
A flat packed one in your bag or attached to the bottom of your ferret box would be a good idea? They soon cable tie together. Quote Link to post
Country Joe 1,411
not bothered about it being flatpack as i will just keep it in the car boot, a wooden one would be okay as long as not big or heavy. Quote Link to post

B.P.R 2,798
Got a live trap here. In the event of a lost ferret i would just put some food in and cover with my jacket. Quote Link to post
