i have two lurchers a dog and bitch and when im out on my permission running rabbits my male collie greyhound bags a rabbit he will bring back to hand no problem but if he dosent bag one an i try recall him he keeps looking for the one he just missed any tipd on how to get that out of him?

Think you just need to knock that lamping in the head for a couple of weeks and go back to working on his recall

thanks guys he only dose this when hes out running rabbits but when hes running for a ball he brings it back or if he just out for a walk his recall is sopt on but when he misses a rabbit he takes the piss trying to find it rather than cuming back ready for the next run

yes mate i take both out together now and then but normaly take turns with them but tend to take my bitch out more coz her recall is spot on

if i was you mate i would just keep him on the lamp and keep him off big ears some times you can ruin a good dog running on both all dogs are different it is your dog mate not trying to tell you what to do been at this game for 40years so i know a little bit

thanks guys and yes i was thinking of just keeping him for the ferreting and its all game that he misses not just the big ears he just keeps going then i manage to get him back. any more addvice you may find helpfull for me is welcome too guys an like ive said my bich is a good dog just need more work for her as the little plot of land ive got permission on isnt the best ground an not much left to run
