So you killed 2 perfectly healthy ferrets.......that isn't what I call responsible ownership., why not re-home them, house them seperatly, hand them in to a welfare, or offer them to someone on here i

PJ what you have done has and will be done for years to come. Although not PC in todays society, you may have prevented hundreds of animals having a troubled life in the future. Just dont think anybo

no amount of care or handling is going to make them work better, you cant "resolve" a ferret not willing to work..... in my opinion my duty of care was reached as i didnt pass the problem on

i had the same issue, my 2 original working jills were skin and bone nearly, and there was 3 big fat ferrets that had been bullying them off the food. shot of lead to 2 of the fatties cured the problem, and the jills are looking and feeling in great nick now.

because they didnt work. im responsible for them, i bred them and aquired them, so im responsible for what happened to them. if they died painlessly which they did, whats the problem?

Not everyone out there wants workers..., some people simply want pets & some ferreters may want a non -working hob to have vasectomised...when you have a problem with an animal you should try and resolve it ......you just chose the easy option & killed perfectly healthy animals....how much time or effort would it have been to hand them in to a welfare or feed them separately......with any animal comes a duty of care & I can only hope you don't experience other problems with your remaining ferrets.....
