I recently looked on the JRTGB web-page and replied to an advert for pups, as I was looking for another russell to join my current one for general pest control on local shooting syndicates. I was offered a pup..for £400.00 as the parents were champion show dogs!! What happened to promote, preserve, protect?! ....

Swansea Jacks got some decent pups on here and are nearer to you ..Out of working stuff as well .Be better off looking at them if they are still available

Some of the comittee of the original Scottish Jack Russell club are still working the same lines a they were back in the 70s. They also drew up the breed standard for the club with ALL the emphasis on a working confirmation. Some off he older guys will remember the shows at Ayr racecourse with the likes of Bill Brightmore judging. Remember a lot of guys quietly go about their business without the idiotnet.

Cheers mate, glad you agree. I only want a JR for ratting, not rosettes... so why would I want to pay £400? So much of this clubs' info is about "protecting" the original JR's, so why are the same people advertising litter after litter on their ads'?
