secretagentmole 1,701
Low light is the problem, most RFs do not have an illuminated reticle! The Hawke LRF600 is a good piece of kit (also available from golf shops as the Longridge Pinpoint at less cash). Can cope with all sorts of British weather including rain. Just go to a gun shop when it is the light conditions you want to see if it works in and have a look through one outside! I have a Longridge Pinpoint, it copes with ranges up to 500 metres (which is 546 yards)! Edited November 28, 2012 by secretagentmole Quote Link to post

secretagentmole 1,701
The Longridge one can be picked up from about £100 if you get lucky at a golf shop, the Hawke, well it is £120 from Uttings http://www.uttings.co.uk/Product/511/107270/hawke-compact-lrf-600-rangefinder-rf5600/ Quote Link to post

jam1e 12
I have the Hawke LRF 400 and i'm chuffed to bits with it so far... Although as it states it only ranges to 400 yards. For the extra £20 you get the 600 yards your after. Good price really. I had mine from Uttings. Ordered it at 12pm arrived at 11am the next day! Although if you call them you may end up speaking to a young lad, poss teenager (?) who seems to be sarcastic most times i call. Perhaps bad look on my part always getting the "dweeb"! Ending on a good note though there service and delivery is cracking!! Quote Link to post
