Guest jrt
HW95K without any douts Rekord trigger, HW build quality, acurracy, all in a light package and even better tunned!!! the best break barrel on the market imo. I agree mate they are the dogs bollax! I have shot loads of stuff with mine. It is suprising what they are capable of. HW95K for me every time. JPT the v-s1 kit transforms the rifle.. only about £60 dont qoute me on that tho mate.. pope fits them for an extra 30 i think.. so your looking at £100 by pope or just the price for the stage 1 kit and fit it yourself well worth the pennys Quote Link to post
J Darcy 5,871
I have shot many different springers and the best IMHO are 77's and 's both in carbine with .177 killed stacks of game with them. I have had the full HW range but these two heavyweights rule the roost IMHO. The 35E was a serious gun, with the thumb-lock, when that came out it hit the airgun market with a storm. am i right in thinking the "E"(export) meant it had a walnut stock... Quote Link to post

Guest jrt
Hw 95k for me also when I went in my local gun shop and I picked the 95k up for the first time......the gun is so nicely balanced even though they are so long it just felt nice in my hands, I also have had all the lightning range and currently have the lightning tactical also......but to me they have there different uses for me personally if I am wondering around stalking in woods I would use the tactical but if I was sat waiting for my shot I would use the HW95k. The way the tactical stock is molded is nice....... its just that bit quicker for me to get to aim on the move Had aload of springers over the years, which i can say i prefer over a pcp anyday although there are some nice pcps out there.. The longest current springer running that ive owned was a BSA Meteor .22, bagged hundreds of rats with that rifle, it was passed to me by my uncle and was over 35 years old.. but money was more inportant at the time and i sold that which i regret.. also had the tx200hc which is a very nice rifle but far to heavy, my tuned hw95k shoots as good as that now without the weight and i would say in my opinion better build qaulity goes the the 95k aswell and it beats the tx200hc on bluing quality too.. had a nice stingray k .22 but always fancied a longbow but never got arround to getting one before web went under. the meteor was a test on Beesa's build quality and it passed!! that rifle never seen a service once in the 35 years that my uncle had it and it was still dropping them rats on the canal week in week out.. i like the look of the bsa lightning tactical.. RatSnatcher 0
JRT thats a tricky one mate ..........like I have said The HW 95 for sniping work.........the Tactical for stalking, Both have their merits and I have thought about that question lately but I am un-decided My head tells me the HW95 its just so balanced nice but the Tactical is that much smaller and easier to get to aim on the move.......... Its like those old John wayne cowboy films when the indian is riding away on his horse into the distance and big john says pass me the rifle.......if it was me I would grab the HW95 Mooching round buildings for rats and pigeons and rabbits on the move .....Bravo 2 Zero style well it would be the tactical I hope that make sense they are both cracking guns Fecked if I know but I would probably lean slightly to the HW95 Quote Link to post
stubby 175
well apart from cheap plinkers as a kid, I went straight into pcp a few years back, and would'ent look at a springer, told the company I work for (pest control) to get me a rat catcher, but was told Id be getting a springer from the warehouse, well I got a TX200 .177 air arms, and after getting rid of the shite scope that was fixed to it, and fitting my own, think its a great rifle, yup its heavy but i got used to that pretty quick Quote Link to post
