I looked at rapids but it worries me a lot are put over power and potential mine field?... I had an ultra and liked it but my R10 was a nice tool... yet again shooting Si's 100 and daveys s410 impressed me; Mk1 Rapid? Gaz Quote Link to post

Elmer_Fudd 28
Like i said i liked all the rifles I shot when i went out with davey and si ( AAs410, HW100 and even the edga brothers xvi) and loved the r10 but i think that was the bargain of the century when i got it and more so when i sold it ... my main criteria is cost and reliability as I don’t fancy having it cost me an arm and leg if it goes wrong... silentshot1 206
I wanted new gun this time last year but have always had the opinion that like cars, you are better off buying an honest, well looked after, second hand gun than new. As I will damage anything I buy within a week, it makes sense to me! I ended up buying a used R-10 mk.1 in .22 from a guy on here and a few months later when some common problems arose, sent it away for a tune up with Darren at XTX air. I haven't looked back since. The gun is fantastic and only hindered in accuracy by my ability, I can't fault it and that's with just a standard tune, not with a new regulator. All in, including, 2 tins of AA Field, Gun light and mounts, scope and XTX tune up and postage, £540.00 well spent and an all weather gun that will last me for ages and I'm not precious about! Brilliant value and will don it again with my S10 which now needs a fettle. Quote Link to post
Elmer_Fudd 28
I am going second hand think either rapid r10 or s410 I have in mind haha Quote Link to post
silentshot1 206
Good choices!! There was a rapid in the for sale section that looked awesome and I've got an S410 TDR which is again, a fantastic gun. Quote Link to post
robwelsh 354
I don't think you will get much simpler than a mk1 rapid. But I prefer mfrs, the reg is better I think too. I assume buster has sorted you the link ..there's so much welcomed info on the rapid sites that a lot of other forums are touchy about. Every question you ask on the rapid site will be answered with 100% straight forward guidance. And that tipped it for me. Atb Quote Link to post
