GEOFF.223 83
i have been looking for a new house to rent which has a good garden for a dog run. sick of seeing landlords nearly exploding when you say you have a dog. ok i understand they think my dog is gonna pee and turd everywere eat and chew everything which makes me defensive as my dog is extreamly well house trained. my dog will make less mess than most people i know. Rhodey 96
Why not kennel the dog more landlords are willing to rent the house to you if the dog lives out.
northern lad 2,292
Keep looking Geoff,we looked at several properties until we found a landlord who was ok about dogs, I work for quite a few landlords,to be honest Ive seen far more damage caused by people than dogs, you would not beleive the way some people treat other peoples property, good luck with your search ATB Dave
robbo 868
when we decided to move to cornwall i couldnt beleive how many landlords wouldnt accept dogs.I ended up having a bit of a rant at a couple of the letting agents/landlords,they never asked for references or how many kids we had, we could have been nightmare neighbours with loads of kids with asbos who were going to terrorise the neighbourhood. But so long as we didnt have dogs they didnt mind.

albert64 1,882
i rent a house out, the trouble is not all people are decent tenants some tenants think f*ck it i've not got to pay to have it maintained so dont respect or look after things, my last one cost me 1000's in repairs and same as the council you have a duty to the neighbours and can quite easily be took to court i've got a great tenant now who looks after the house like its his own, and a few weeks ago he said he was thinking of getting a dog for his kids, no problem with that crack on he was told if you show your a decent tenant you might be surprised
