Is it possible to start a thread on THL without it turning into an arguement? What makes me laugh is that 99% of people rowing on here would probably be completely respectful to each others faces but put em behind a keyboard and watch em kick off

i would be more intrested how thick the dogs skin was under the coat rough or smooth.had a line bred collie grey back to a saluki lurcher short dense coat with a thick skin no weather conditions bothered her wet/cold etc. had a beardy /grey harsh rough coat very thick skin again never suffered in harsh weather.

Hes catching, im learning and most importantly enjoying myself whilst letting my dog do what comes naturally to him. And as for getting another dog whats the problem with that? How many dogs do you own? Yea thats true mate, my little dog has what looks like a good coat but he dont like freezing wind and rain one bit. shivers a lot and sulks till we find the next rabbit

aint turned into an arguement with me more like a disagrement everyone has different opinions

would you of told someone you didnt know that they just made themselves look a right tool just for saying they show their dogs?

Showmen usually are tools,their dogs are seldom much better,ive read some of St,s posts and he seems to be a worker of dogs before showman,id rather have a worker before looker,but,as fortune as blessed my eye and kennel,ive got both,whoopy do.

think thats why i have always had a bad opinion of rough coated lurchers because whenever i have been to country fairs the show rings have always been full of them and most have never seen a rabbit never mined chased one

Well youre having a pop cos im getting another dog when youve got 3! My dogs dont live in kennels, theyll be at home with the missus all day, the pup will get a short walk on its own and some basic training when i get home from work and my current dog will will get exactly what hes already getting, a few nights out a week and an hours mouch on the days he aint lamping. Next season the pup will be going out on the lamp when the conditions are good for a few easy runs whilst the other dog stays home after his hours mouch but most days itll be him out on the lamp. Then hopefully by the next season after that ill be able to take em lamping and everything else together. Either way youre wrong if youre suggesting my dogs will be suffering in any way by having 2 of them cos i can assure you theyre my priority.

Whats the problem with that if my dogs wont suffer? And whats the problem with my dog yapping if im lamping on permission and im never going to breed from him? And the yapping is minimal anyway, a tiny yip every now and then. Stop talking in riddles, if youve got something to say just say it and stick by it, dont keep saying shit that dont make sense and then deny it an hour later.

Ive put all the time i could into working him so far and hes doing better than most would expect considering his breeding. Ive still got plenty more to put into him aswell he wont be getting neglected just cos ive got a new pup as a dog man yourself im sure you can understand that. look im not going to start trawling through old posts on here but im sure on your other thread i said something along the lines of get a purpose bred lurcher, instead of what you have now........then you start ranting and raving about how you will give all you time and effort to get this dog working etc etc ..........now your after a purpose bred lurcher..............

ranting and raving? you mean i said getting rid of my dog wasnt an option and i was going to work him no matter how many people told me to get rid? Ive put all the time i could into working him so far and hes doing better than most would expect considering his breeding. Ive still got plenty more to put into him aswell he wont be getting neglected just cos ive got a new pup as a dog man yourself im sure you can understand that. Also, if you remember rightly i always said my next dog would be a purpose bred lurcher, my current dog was a pet that i realised had working potential whcih is what led me into this game. And its got nothing to do with enjoying proving people wrong, but what am i gonna do when they say shit that aint true about things ive said???

And i didnt call johnny boy a dick, i said he did a good job of making a dick out of himself whilst trying to make me look stupid, either way
