Brain or spine?

Recommended Posts

Well lets put it this way mate..If there planning on having air rifles Licensed in England its going to happen no matter what you type on here or how much respect you want to say you have for a fluffy little rat.

As for Antis, there Anti for there own reason and NO matter what you say on here it wont make a single once of difference to them.

So be yourself instead of trying to justify what you do to the Antis. I do what I do because I enjoy doing what I do and I dont need to hide the fact.

As for vidios, if you dont want greif..dont put them on the web.

A small number of people.? dont you mean 100s of thousands.??

Gun mags on the top shelf where it should be...WITH THE REST OF THE PORN

RESPECT.?? If you want to give it a kiss and a cuddle before you knock it brain out..Nobodys stopping you :air_kiss:

Like with bunnies Roger, if they are hit in the head (large brain area called the cerebrum) then their nervous system gets crosswired and they kick and flap about, but essentially they are dead Even

Yeah but .22 does it better!   Sorry couldn't help myself.   ;-)

He's got a point! I wouldn't be bothered if they put a licencing on air rifles like shotguns asin you can own one without any criminal records and if you can justify a valid reason to do so. Eg shooting at a local club or on permission as this would stop a lot of half wits having them for no good reason.

I like this guy, says it as it is.

Hi Roger.

I've used my FAC .22 HW80 on rats for all the years I've had it. The .22 round really thwacks them dead on impact, regardless of whether it's a head, upper body, chest shot. They are instantly switched off; but in virtually all cases the carcasses jump and bounce like India rubber!

Having read a great many anti hunting comments on Youtube vids. I am not so much concerned about a dead rat's nervous system causing it to bounce about, as I am with the vilest remarks and threats of murder and torture these maniacs make in the name of animal welfare.

This is an age of unprecedented ignorance, illiteracy and utter stupidity on a level I have never before seen in people. They are more concerned with giving rights to vermin like rats; yet think it perfectly funny to watch moronic Z-list wannabe celebraties eat Kangaroo testicles and kill LIVE insects and grubs, by eating them alive and crushing them to death in tomb-like chambers after being covered in them for the amusement of dumb fcukers who get all threaty at the notion of shooting a rat!

There's nothing wrong with shooting. Never has been. But there is something awfully wrong with society today!

Well looks like after all these years I'll have to pack the game In, as Im Not as Perfect a shooter as some of you, and no matter how hard I try somtimes things dont go as according to plan, I get the odd casualty every now and then and im NOT affraid to addmit it..Unlike some.

Its one thing to protect your sport, but to live on a cloud is another.

Lets put it one way, if I was on the front line with some of you lot, I wouldnt want you watching My back.

It appears that my question has been taken the wrong way. I am no different too a lot of shooters, being happy to go out shooting on my own. i too am not perfect and even after trying my best i fail to kill my quarry straightaway, yes i know that i shoot with air rifle and my quarry i not "as though its a deer" but i do believe that whatever i hunt needs to be trated with dignity.

I don't record my shoots for the world to see, there may be a time where something different happened and in that case i may feel that i want to write about it. If i do then its because i found the event enjoyable or it might be that i would want others to answer a question for me.

With the internet and programs such as "YouTube" where people can watch every subject under the sun, the anti's have access to peoples shooting/hunting videos. Where as before the anti's had to be content with watching hunts from the road or public footpath. Then the anti's only had their imagination or stumble accros an injured or dying animal too fuel their cause.

So in closing, if me trying to protect my chosen hobby/sport either upsets or offends anybody then so be it. But i don't want the anti's winning at least not while i'm able to get out with a gun.

back to the question, if using .177 like i do now in my pcp at the ranges for ratting i use flatheads with pinpoint accuracy out to 25yards + in my .22 springer i always used domeheads... a nice clean head shot would do the job equally aswell with either of my air rifles, use a pellet thats accurate out to the range you will be shooting at and 9/10 you will get a clean kill, on the odd occassion no matter what you do you may get a wounded one and then its follow up fast with another shot or a club(spade, piece of wood).....all the best steve

Always been a head shot man myself, personal preference, its the window to their soul. Head equals dead............And don't miss, I don't because I'm perfect (apart from a small blemish on my left buttock which is apparently a Potato Mark.).................... :tongue2:

I like to shoot the rats in the foot and take them home to the tortuture chamber where I in-humanely keep them alive for hours under a torch in a dark room screaming to it to give up its friends hiding place and I will put it out of its misery!

Antis or no antis they are f**king rats vermin I don't ever think you can call them quarry!

Iv never in my life ponderd over what anti's think, because in ALL Total honesty I dont give a monkeys F*ck what they think anyway. In the end, it will be the men with the pinstriped suit and bowler hats that make the disision's, not some nobb with long matted hair sat there in a field stoned out of his mind on shit.

No matter what you lot put on here justifiying your sport or way of life and how easy and humainly you can turn an animals light out...If hunting with airguns gets banned or they get licensed...Well TOUGH..and we only have ourselves to blame. We pay silly money for guns and accessories, we pull the trigger, then bang everything on the WORLD WIDE WEB, It will never be the antis fault for what ever happens.

Stop All this spine or brain bullshit and get a grip, nobody give a toss at the end of the day, just go about your pleasure's and keep your head down and hopfully you wont get noticed.

totally agree with pro buck and im sure he would like head shots every time but lifes not that simple and if he chooses a body shot on a rat i for one wouldnt bat an eye lid if antis find that hard to swallow then tough shit as i have no time for these morons in there fluffy cloud life -billy

I ask a question not so much for my information because i catch rats be hand, then i have a talk with them and ask them if they would stop showing during daytime. They give me their word then i let them go, with a packed lunch.

Normally about every 4 years or so the men in pin striped suits canvas for our votes. Now i listen to what they have planned for my country, are they pro UK, are they for protecting my hobby/sport or even my job. Then and only then do i decide who gets my vote. But i can imagine some members of this forum give their vote to the cute one, or the one with nice eyes because they can't see out of their rose coloured world. Standing in their own world with their head up their arse, all they can see is their own shit. For if they shut themselves away with the idea that the anti's have no voice, they will get woken up one day when we can't hunt, shoot or fish.

So i am off to check my humane rat traps to make sure i have puffed up the pillows.

Love and peace to you all, far out man.

Roger
