Garn 0
Choose the ones that don't bite or nip! If you don't know the strain of ferret your getting you can't predict the end size. The size of the parents is helpful, though not guaranteed as to the size in adulthood of the off spring. Then after that , if you like them choose them. You pay your money and take your pick with ferrets. Quote Link to post
Garn 0
Willrennyferreter, out of curiosity why should you chose a kit with a wide head? Quote Link to post
ade33uk 86
firstly make sure the cage , and ferrets are clean healthy and well handled and looked after . if they are you are half way to a good ferret . pick which ever ferret you like , doesnt matter if its quiet or bouncing about all over the place , when a litter is together they all tend to be a bit nuts , and all bite, when they are seperated thats when you find out what they are like . finally try and get a hob from a different litter if you decide to breed them later on you are not line breeding straight away Quote Link to post
mooster 1
Most important thing is to be choosy about who you buy from There is no way of knowing how any animal will develop, either psychologcally or physically. But you can see its parents if the breeder is reputable. If the parents are healthy and happy you have a good chance of a healthy and happy youngster. Big,small, fast slow.In my experience all ferrets love bolting rabbits . I prefer small ferrets as they take up less room and are less inclined to tangle my nets. Quote Link to post
