Ruger 10/22 Trigger

Recommended Posts

I love my 10/22 but one criticism is the trigger, to be honest the standard trigger is rubbish, i have been meaning to sort this out for some time and today I spent a couple of hours after watching the videos I gave it a go. Following my work on on it the trigger has gone from around a 7lb pull to approx 2.5lb pull with a nice smooth creep. I am VERY happy with it. :D

I didn't want to over do it so I split it down worked on it, reassembled and then did it all over again (four times) in small stages until I reached the correct trigger pull I wanted.

:nono: DO NOT TRY THIS IF YOU ARE NOT A COMPETENT PERSON WITH TOOLS AS TO DO THIS INCORRECTLY CAN MAKE THE RIFLE DANGEROUS. :nono:

Hope someone finds this useful

Do you ever get a problem with it jamming, I fancy one but was put off by people saying they dont cycle properly when they have a mod fitted to them

A friend of mine has one, he loves it, and the only time he gets problems is when he has used too much oil when cleaning, the rifle doesn't seem to like a lot of lube

His is moderated too

Agree with AR177 providing you keep the, clean from gunk then they are just as reliable as a bolt action.

The only time mine will jam is when the spent bullet case does not eject from the barrel this is due to a build up of wax from the .22 subs, keep it fairly clean and you can fire of plenty of rounds without a hitch. It's accurate, VERY quiet with aparker hale mod and a recoil damper fitted.

Excellent bunny gun

Yes I agree, I have seen this rifle take bunny head shots at around 90-100 yds consistently, you cannot ask more of a .22 than that.
