1st ever report hope you enjoy

Well it started well my mate got to my house for about 5:45 with ferrets gear and everything loaded up there was only time for one more thing a bacon and sausage sarnie and off we went to today's hunting grounds.

 

Once we got there we set off to the first set of holes, the day started off well at the first fence where my mate mad e a complete hash of getting over it and ended up sat on his backside on the other side much to my amusement.   

 

Walked abit of land back to the holes and netted up! With not such a long wait the first rabbit was in the net! And after i missed one that escaped the net last time i made sure got it with a Rugby tackle that owen farrel would have been proud of. Slightly over the top maybe but non the less in the bagFollowed by a second that got away through a sneaky little bolter. Never mind there for another day and that was it for those holes!

 

Walked back across the hill side to the next set of holes a earth which we found last time and new it would be a deep one! With in seconds of entering the ferret the first one had bolted number 2 in the bag! After a good wait no sign of the ferret and out with the shovel after a fairly awkward dig we broke through to the ferret unfortunately no rabbit! But she had obviously had abit of a battle on and was cover in bunny piss and crap and to go with it a big foot print on her head! So we back filled and left that one for another day!

 

Next we walked upto a big earth probably about holes in total! So got netted up and walked abit of cover back to the holes hoping to back net a few! No such luck so n with the ferrets first came and was dispatched second came and was dispatched or so I thought! 10 seconds later the bloody rabbit jumped back up and shot back down another hole thank fully a netted one so didn't get away! Think we got 3 out of the first half of this earth.

 

Over to the second half after having a couple of steady bolters! Suddenly one came flying out of the hole which I duno what the hell I was thinking but ran across to grab it before it kicked the clear of the net! I think for a second I thought I was a whippet had great early pace until I ran across the bog I forgot about! Needless to say my top half was going at whippet speed and my feet were like a bull dog! I don't know how but some how with my arms doing a windmill impression and me only thinking I'm being too heavy footed round the holes I managed to stay on my feet till I could reach the rabbit  ! This earth pushed the total upto 12 not the biggest bag but a funny as hell days rabbiting!

well done mate the little missaps make the day even better i think we had a few today my little lad 11 rolled about 30ft down a hill after we just climbed up it lol fxxk frost he was screaming LOL

Hahaha poor kid nothing worse! Had a few more daft moments out with hounds today and back out with ferrets tomorrow can it be 3rd hunting trip lucky
