Ferreting on the field sports channel

No mate not missing the point I have two boys and take them odd weekends wouldn't dream of showing them its OK to take a crowd that size ferreting. Yes they the future and should be shown properly or how are they to pass it on themselves

Im not gonna start arguing with some one thats got 8 posts under his belt. Yet another example of people trying to impose their hardcore views, when in reality, they dont count for shit. Are they your rabbits? Are they on your land?

Not lookin for arguments and got no hardcore view. 8 posts maybe but 25 years in the field. Aren't forums for discussion and somewhere every side is herd and points taken.

I agree Nighthawk, each to there own and I don't think its a hardcore view at all, but I would see no enjoyment going ferreting on masse making a load of noise, give me a couple of people who know the score every time which leads (from my experience) a far more enjoyable and effective way of ferreting. :yes: Same goes for most hunting, fishing etc except foxhunting or coursing, but even then I always preferred the quiet days.

Not for me really. Im happy with the dogs ferrets and rabbits for company. It also lets you make an honest opinion on your skills and your animals. If your out with other people sometimes you feel pressured into putting on a good show.

 

Also when you go with other people sometimes they do things you don't like and vice versa. I like my dogs to respect the long nets but not everyone does. Its just one of those things. Just keep at what your happy with.

Spose its a bit like the carp fishing game.... If everyone worried more about what their up to, and not what everyone else is up to, then everyone would be better off.

As I said, I`m pretty sure its just an occasional day out for all the kids. How is a child supposed to enjoy the day when their getting told to be quiet, stand still, and dont do that every 2 minutes. I never said it was my cup of tea, but I certainly wouldnt knock a fella for getting out with his mates and family.

Not my cup of tea, I prefer a bit of peace and quite but cant see what wrong with them doing what their doing so long as their happy doing it. I think its wrong to assume that they are some where in plain view with antis on the prowl and given there not breaking any laws then who cares, it's a shame were all so paranoid about them but I guess we have good reason.

I think its just like most things in life we have our own ways and own opinions on how , not every one likes em and some times its hard to get your head around others. Mind I think I would happily stop and have a cook up for my lunch
