its a lad off here,

think the dog followed it into the wood but am not sure what happened in there or if it came out the other side.

Good run though on a good roe, regardless of the outcome

I think Dan is getting at, correct me if Iam wrong big fella..... just because a lurcher can knock over a few roe which most lurchers of over 22tts can doesnt qualify them of the title deer dog Fact is some real good roe bashers just lift there head at the bigger deer, mature fallow bucks etc

 

Thats pretty much what I'm sayin. I have respect for a dog that can catch and kill roe just as I have respect for dogs that are rabbit dogs but I just dont think a roe dog is really a deer dog at all. I guess if you wanna get technical then yes roe are deer but they are for startin pups maybe.

 

After thinkin bout it some more I guess I really dont care either way but I have yet to see what I would call a deer dog yet with my own eyes.

ive got a 6 month old deerhound grey x saluki grey. anyone ran this breed before or knows anyone who has. ive had good feedback before on this breed but just want to know what you guys think???

I used a 1/4collie grey 27in dog and 3/8bull grey 24.5in bitch but was only roe are fallow both regulary took the bitch was better in woodlands and the dog on open land feck i miss it.
