socks 32,253
Here's another one for our resident SFs expert; Socks can you tell me why the UK SFs favour the American M16 family assualt rifles over the British army standard SA80? Is it not an admition of infiriority of the SA80? I was always led to believe that the H&K ammended SA80 was a world class assault rifle yet our finest don't see it fit for their work. The m16 is a far more reliable weapon and has self cleaning parts which helps negate stoppages ... It is longer than the sa80 which is why the mp5 aid preferred for cqb but for reliability and all round use you can't beat the ak family .... just as an aside the m16 and sa80 both use te same ammo 5.56 ...........
