think with all the rain and long grass not cut at right time of year alot of young rabbits would of died.couple yr ago i found a few dead young rabbits in long grass nowt wrong with them but wet through. So may be thats something to do with it.

there was ten times the amount of boys at it 20/30 years ago,, and they always had plenty to go at, theres more to it then that somthing aint right for them,,,!

i am from newcastle as well and i have permission up northumberland and the fields are usually quite packed with bunnys but thursday night proved different with flooding

If we hit 10 or more ferreting you've had a good day down here. Hence a lot of the ferreting I'm doing this season will be bolting, no nets. Try and have a seasons sport but still leave some stock for next season
