gerron 13
'm having similar problems with a young lab, the rest of my dogs have always faught for my attention or affection, this little bitch just isnt interested and i'v had to put more time and effort into bonding with her, she's maybe one of the smartest pups iv ever owned but without doubt the hardest to train, not because she doesnt understand but because she will when she wants too, only time will tell bu t it aint easy Quote Link to post
wuyang 513
Little fish, makes sense what your saying and I have spent loads of one to one time with her. I am still taking her out a lot on her own mooching as well as playing etc, but she does obviously join in with the others as well. The bond she has with me has greatly improved from when she was younger its more the stubborn/sensitive side that gets to me. I have 3 other dogs. I think just patience and a different approach is definitely needed to bring the best out of her, it has been a challange, but I'm certainly not giving up on her.....underneath it she's a lovely dog.....if slightly odd.
