I dint want to sparkle any political debate, no matter that things in EU are not as simple as black/white and that I am also not a great fan of it!!!

 

However the fact that goods can not get TAXed twice in EU still stands.

Johnny Sals sells the same scope for $1250 again without P+P but that equals £769 (http://www.xe.com/uc...From=USD&To=GBP) £1061 - £769 = £292 cheaper.

 

De_Tomaso are you sure about there being ZERO duty because I am sure that once you cross a certain amount of £££££'s duty applies and at £292 cheaper I still think I will take my chances buying from the states.

 

 

After tax and del you will be looking at about £ 982. for tha American import ( But i don't think the are allowed to export Tactical optics) Big Big fine and loss of liberty

Theres dozens of these kind of posts on here.

No one WANTS to spend a fortune on optics, but i'm afraid if you want quality & reliability theres no option but to spend some decent cash.

 

Most posts on optics are looking for utopia: Quality optics & cheap.

 

Have a look through other posts and usually after pages of posts, the OP usually opts for the cheaper option.

 

It isnt 'snobbery', it isnt one upmanship, its paying whats required to get quality.

 

Ive used most cheap and mid-range scopes, and trust me, its false economy. No way could I go back to a compromise.

 

At the end of the day, if your happy, tgen thats all that matters.
