oakey 57
Cant find a simple answer on the internet . How long can you drive a polish car over here ? It doesn't seem right that someone who is living and working in this country should be allowed to continue driving a car with no British road tax over here if you are on holiday thats different but where do they send the speeding / parking fines Poland ?Might just as well be poundland In the past at work people have been told not to bring there cars on to company property because it isn't taxed yet the polish drive about in there polish cars and nothing is said (because it might be racist ) how much longer are we Brits going stand to be treated second class in our country . sorry rant over

Matt3699 142
I'm pretty sure once you become 'resident' in most European countries you are then obligated to change the vehicles registration. It used to be a 6 month limit. But it's difficult to keep track on foreign vehicles. There is also no way to prove that the vehicle hasn't returned home in previous months and is only here again for a 'holiday' thus, resetting the 6 months. I'm unsure if it's changed though.

More important than tax is insurance imo. Policy might only cover you for 90 days abroad or sommat similar. Some countries in eu have to have insurance 'ticket' in window.... JohnGalway 1,043
We have motor tax here. Customs drive around the country and will check on foreign reg cars. They'll seize and fine if someone is pulling the piss, can't remember how long it takes, probably more related to that daylight robbery of VRT tax
