Lukehunt 15
alright lads basically i REALLY want a land rover! i could use it for a work van, and it would come in handy for when i take the dogs out, which is alot. but the only thing is im only 17 yr old i have a corsa atm and its f*****g up all the time and i really cant be bothered with it anymore, i dont think ill be able to get a land rover but im just wondering what you guys think? its just the insurance that is worrying because of the size of there engines, i was looking at discovery 2 lites, what do u lads think? cheers

Tiny 7 1,694
Your only 17 fellah the insureance will cripple you for a landy or any 4x4 really... Unless you really NEED a 4x4 id go for a nice diesel estate or little van for your self at least for a few more yrs yet.....

hunter 86 0
discos r alot more expensive than deffenders to insure pal i had a few quotes not long ago for both and unfortunatley i couldnt afford a deffender so ive opted for an old suzuki samauri it goes every where and brill for the dogs because the back seats have been taken out and its cheap on insurance atb
Floyd17586 454
But will be surprised at 17 if a insurance company take you on in a landy
Ideation 8,216
Expensive as feck to run, and the defenders are a pain if you are tall or big, cos of the fixed bulk head. Most folk who have them dont really need them a lot of the time. Probably be better with a vitara, or an estate or van. Landys are ok for driving off road but we do something like 500 miles average hunting driving a week, so it'd cripple us on the fuel.
