Sirius 1,391
I like it, and spent a bit of time getting my dog to run on command and walk to heel in the dark. But, it's easier if the dog was broke to other quarry. Certain things in the beam and he won't stay steady enough. I only work off slip now in certain areas so to stop any stress. But I like a dog to run on command and not bolt the beam on any moving object. Maybe my next dog I will get better and break him to all but rabbit! Maybe.. Quote Link to post
rob190364 2,594
I don't have mine on a slip, but I will have one in my pocket. Most of the time everything is fine, she'll walk to heel and only go when I tell her to....and then every now and again she'll have a knobhead day, will get a bit too keen and will decide she'll give my patience a bit of a test, just for a laugh. So then I'll stick her on the slip for the rest of the night just so the day doesn't end badly for one of us Quote Link to post
whip x grey 276
Was for a walk to night with the 2 dogs no slips out the back door and walked past 2 big girls about 30 feet away no problem the young pup was wondering what was going on but I just said YOU and she got the message . The other dog must of been saying come on ya knob hurry up lol but no chance of that rabbits only for me . So I'm in control of my dogs if all that makes sence should have said GET ON !!!!!
