Lab 10,979 Posted November 21, 2012 Report Share Posted November 21, 2012 Right i work hand in hand with Elmwood College..........Nothing is going to beat experience when a shoot is looking for an underkeeper but there are lads out there that go through the college system and land good jobs at the end of it. These lads are hard workers who keep there head down, do the work, listen and are not afraid of a bit hard graft. They dont moan, they dont f**k about and they show a real interest in all aspects of Gamekeeping. Your tutor will pick up on this and he is the one that Keepers talk too when looking for Underkeepers, remember that. When you go to college your going to be around groups of teenagers looking for a laugh.......now i'm not saying be a boring twat but dont be the class clown or youve no chance of a job. Had plenty students help on the game farm....some i would give a job but most i would be scared to see them in McDonalds. ATB in your quest to be a Keeper.... 1 Quote Link to post
