My vet is great, I feel like ive robbed him when I pay him and he only charges me 20 or 30 quid for stitching my dog/horse/goat back together, hes only chargeing me 20quid per hob to get my ferrets castrated in spring and he charges 25for vaccinations and will split the bottle of vaccine between 2 dogs to save you money.

how can you split the vaccination between 2 dogs. isn't it 1 vaccination per dog.

According to my vet thats another scam.... makes no difference... Had parvo here and all the vaccinated dogs and pups survived, couple older pups that werent vaccinated got it and pulled through in the end but lost 2 unvaccinated pups

.the same size vaccination vial will be used whether its a great dane or a jack russel pup....so yes ..i'd say you could split a vial between terrier pups

dont tell eveyone that ffs

A lot depends on the foot shape as to whether or not road work alone keeps the claws short.

did you not ask how much it would cost before getting those jobs done, over here it would cost, 3.50 for wormer, 12.50 for booster (don't bother after first jab), nails i do myself,

I got stung for £270 for an x-ray and a bandgae two weeks ago! An x-ray and a f*****g bandage! Part of the cost was anesthetic but if I had known that I would have just stayed and held the dog steady for the x-ray myself! That bill shocked me a bit! The shitter was that the only reason the toe was x-rayed was because the vet said it was 'deffinately' broken, it wasn't, it was dislocated!

Next time ask for sedation - say you don't want anesthetic, it works out a bit cheaper,

and most dogs come out of sedation quicker than anesthetic - meaning they don't have to keep the dog in for a few hours.

My old bitch had bad nose bleeds, it cost me less than that for her to have x-rays, flush and tests done on what they flushed out, exam etc

went in at 9 and was back home for about 11.

Get yourself insured. Cost of treatment isn't an issue then.

Insurance is great if you have one dog. But if you have 4 dogs or more at 10-15 quid per dog per month it's pissing money away. You're better off saving the money up yourself imo.

If my dogs were any good I'd maybe consider it.
