artful212 394
Aye a bark collar on a dog coursing ffs..get real....Flying over the field..yap..shock..dog loses balance at the shock..potential dead dog..fcukin idiots I dont know what other people thing but if you get him one of those anti barking collars and leave it on him.and let him chase and bark with that on and he,ll soon stop lol. I'm trying to be polite here, BUT, FFS: have you actually got a brain? Yes, dog may stop barking, but its 100% guaranteed to stop dog chasing as well: do the math! Dog chases, gets zapped, dog stops chasing: I shouldn't have to spell it out, but maybe in this case it is necessary. at end of day its only an opinion and hes looking options good luck in your choice fela Edited November 20, 2012 by artful212 Quote Link to post

skycat 6,173
Doesn't matter: any negative experience while the dog is chasing may stifle its drive. Quote Link to post
Floyd17586 454
Wasnt back tracking lad as tbh i dont like cruelty to dogs and imo shock collars are cruel were spray do the same job wit no pain Quote Link to post

digger. 615
thanks for the replys the chase he got when young was a place that never holds a thing in front of the house i made sure from then on that i took him to the football pitch for excercise.his first catch was doubled up not on a rabbit and he was the one that nailed it but just before he did he let out one yap which i didnt mind then i got a few longer courses as that one was easy, slipped him and half way true the courses yap,yap and didnt shut up.sometimes its worse at times than others it might be frustration but it has me fuming sometimes i got him a few handy 1s and not a peep but if they make any ground on him yap, yap.i will give him the rest of the season i suppose just give him a chance but u no urself no one wants to here a dog barking Quote Link to post
Guest long-tail
twenty year ago i prob would have agreed with not wanting a yapper but now days if your on permission and he yaps but does the job f**k it id keep it you got keep travelling for the red uns if it was purely rabbiting dog where continuous slips in the same field then different story, looks handy enough though 1 Quote Link to post
