Wayne_Meikle 2 Posted November 19, 2012 Report Share Posted November 19, 2012 Hi there.ive been ferreting for nearly 20 years,but I have never used a dog.i have recently bought my own house and I am really interested in getting a whippet to work with the ferrets.i am very much a novice with dogs so was wondering if there was any good books on training the whippet to work with the ferrets and with the lamp.i am really keen so any advice would be much appreciated.cheers Quote Link to post

Also loads of cheap books on Amazon about working whippets and whippets in general, plus there are some great books about understanding dogs minds. bryanm45 787 Posted November 19, 2012 Report Share Posted November 19, 2012 There's also a working whippet forum and Facebook page you can ask advice on there, I have a small whip bitch for ferreting, she also lure courses and races, fantastic little dogs mate, just be carefull when buying have a look at parents, workers, ect ect.
