Sirius 1,391
Absolutely I would, the noise of the new one,is at times intolerable Have you not found the pin pointer? Pre the pointer I used to tape over the speaker. I've used both and mk3 is so much more complicated. Mk1 is all I use now Complicated? Once you've mastered it, try opening a packet of biscuits for a real challenge. @ Tug...... 1 Quote Link to post
PETEWINN 5
Can someone tell me what advantages the Mk1 would have over the Mk3? Because i couldn't find any. Mk1 finder half the price of a Mk3. Mk1 finder will locate any collar. Mk3 finder won't locate a Mk1 collar. Mk1 depth reading more accurate than Mk3. The battery life in a Mk1 8ft collar is at least 3 months (2100 hours) and sometimes as much as 6 months. This gives you a long time to find your ferret if you are unfortunate enough to lose it. So for a season you need 2 batteries at 50p each if you leave them in all the time. Considerably longer than the Mk3 battery life of 300 hours. Quote Link to post
