riflehunter583 58
the other night i missed a fox on my own land. a close shot! so not been happy with myself. my excuse is then dam velocitors. however, tonight i had a good night on a different patch with eley subs. shot more rabbits than in the pic but could not carry them all bak to the car the ones in the pic are the ones i could carry as the car was some way off. i'm happy tonight tho as this fox was dropped on the spot with a .22lr sub at exactly yards! a few rabbits were taken standing suppored at between - 90 yards! so after the other nights poor performance I'm feeling much better about myself. gen 1 has its limits tho! so does the .22lr, cannot wait for my .223 coming will have to upgrade the nv as well hope santa brings one (my mrs!). flaming cat! 1 Quote Link to post
JohnGalway 1,043
Cobra? Nice fox, yards is the farthest I shot one when I had my .22lr as well. He was uphill from me and the bullet passed right through his skull/brain/skull, dropped on the spot. Quote Link to post
Furittus 35
Nice shooting . 1 Quote Link to post

JohnGalway 1,043
The subs have enough poke if the shot placement is spot on, if it's not though he'll run so be mindful of that People talk of head shots, but it's the brain you're after I sold my .22lr and got a .17hmr, worst decision ever! JohnGalway 1,043
It's not as much fun to shoot as the .22lr and it's a lot more expensive. I don't know, I just really do dislike it. Maybe in th enew year I'll trade it in for a nice .22lr again! Then I'll have to get working on changing my semi auto shotgun for a nice side by side. That would be me done then unless I decide to scratch my deer itch. Quote Link to post
