wellies or boots

Hi I'm wanting to either get a decent pair of boots or wellies iv got about £70 thought about a pair of hunters or muckboots or iv seen some jack pyke boots but I really do not know which ones to go for. Ta for your help ta tom

You'll get decent wellies for £70, you won't get decent boots for that money IMO.

They do, and they are warm.

 

They're also fairly heavy. I've owned two if not three of the Esk flavour, which split at the heel, split at where the toe creases, and they'll tear easily.

 

But, they are warm

What would you suggest at the moment I wear a cheap pair of hiking boots but sick of going out lamping and ending up with wet feet

personally i think you need both,,,but if i was to pick 1 for that money it would be muck boots BUT DONT GET THE AVON they wont last you long

and the tread is deadly, get the Tay or feild have a look on a thread on here about wellies Tomo put some good info and pic's up about muck boots
