Are whippets thick?

I think they must be pretty dim otherwise why would they chase rabbits one day and then chase a lure on a track the next?

A lurcher or even a greyhound surely wouldn't be fooled if they've seen the real thing?

I'm not criticising them, I love them, I keep two but i don't think they are blessed in the brains department.

I'd be interested in your thoughts.

Its rarely the dog thats thick,its the other end of the lead where the problems arise.

Now now put your claws in bitch.

Every lurcher I've owned, admittedly collie based, would turn their noses up at a lure and if they were interested they would jump the barrier and cut the lure off at the first bend. I guess whippets have terrier blood way back and that gives them their chase anything mentality.
